The music video for This Time, the first single to be released from 'Living in a Song' was filmed at the Malta Aviation Museum, home of restored WWII era aircrafts Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX, Hawker Hurricane Mk IIa, an airworthy de Havilland Tiger Moth amongst other very precious planes.
'From the moment I stepped into The Air Battle of Malta Memorial Hangar I could imagine what a stunning back-drop for This Time, this location would be. The museum showcases some of the largest and most significant collections of aviation artefacts and is an extremely interesting and intriguing spot, not only because of its space and industrial feel which was exactly what I envisaged for 'This Time', but also because it has never been show-cased in a music video - Kenneth Calleja explained.
Led by the director and videographer Jean Pierre Gatt, a local talent who has decades of experience creating music video masterpieces for some of the island's top talent, a story board for a dynamic performance video was designed with particular focus on solo artist Kenneth Calleja, his band members, their music instruments and the dynamic lighting effects created by the Nexos Lighting team.
'A music video is a powerful and essential social media tool because it connects an artist with an international online audience. Performance videos give a sense of authenticity and a realistic raw image of the band and are a great way to show music talent synergy between all band members and of course the individuality of each musician. The location chosen lends itself well for the intrinsic camera-work we planned out for this music video and really is a perfect spot for this genre of music' - Jean Pierre Gatt - videographer
Acclaimed international guitarist Luca Colombo features as a special guest in the 'This Time' music track and video. This is his very first appearance in a locally produced music video.
'Luca has performed with top Italian artists such as Eros Ramazzotti, Marco Mengoni, Nek, Anna Oxa and others, he's accompanied international artists like Robbie Williams, Phil Collins, Jennifer Lopez, Brian May, Michael Bublè and James Blunt to name a few, so we were thrilled when he accepted my invitation to not only feature in the title track yet also join us for the filming 'This Time'.
